Update from the Founder: Summer 2026

Dear business partners,

How are you doing, everybody ok and back in business?
I’m ready for Q4 and beyond.

Summer was warm and wonderful, but also hectic and high energy.

I believe in stepping out of the box, literally. When I stay stuck in the office, or in my beloved hometown, new things cannot develop and new insights don’t come to mind.

This summer, as a family, we travelled to Asia. We love adventures and discovery, but also want our daughters to experience different cultures and learn that things don’t always go as planned. We visited some faraway places, had plenty of adventures and dealt with the unexpected along the way. That is exactly what we want our daughters to experience. New places, different cultures and situations where you simply have to figure things out.

Summer at Trasegro,

is not like sipping on a cocktail while laying on a lounge chair. Logistics never stands still, the summer period is always a detailed puzzle. Capacity temporarily reduces, while the demand for cargo is still there. Very few industries actually slow down during the summer. Productions need to keep running, supply chains need to keep moving, and at the same time our people need their well-deserved rest.

This requires continuous flexibility from our team. Everyone has their own life and family, with new babies arriving, family members needing care, holidays to enjoy and time that needs to be spent together. Still, time and time again, we make it work as a team. And most importantly, our clients are happy with the solutions we provide.

We will keep on top of things so you don’t have to.

There is the added complexity caused by the turmoil in the world. The list is endless: fires, water shortages and strikes in Europe, the continuous troubles in the Strait of Hormuz, the new charging rules and mega truck corridors, the new and very important sustainability measures, just to name a few, and last, but certainly not least, the new dangerous goods transport rules, which will take effect on January 1, 2027.

I feel lucky with the skilled and loyal team we have built at Trasegro. They make it possible for all of us to take a break when we need one.

Looking back

Looking back at our year so far, we are pleased to see that our client base is stable and growing. Our speciality is providing logistics solutions for complex requirements. It is good to see that this continues to be valued by our clients.

Looking at where we can improve, Q4 will be about putting more focus on digitalisation by further implementing AI-tools to make a difference in reducing repetitive administrative work, improving access to information, supporting faster and better decision-making, and as a result allowing our people to spend more time on the work where their knowledge and experience really adds value to the business of our customers.

Looking ahead

When I look ahead, I will be travelling frequently. Not to collect air miles, but to meet and connect with our partners. As I explained in my previous blog, I’m nowhere without my network.

Over the coming months, I will be attending various network events and trade shows. I look forward to meeting familiar faces and making some new connections.

At the same time, the year-end period is always an important moment for me to personally visit a selection of our key clients. Not only to look back on the past year, but especially to look ahead together and discuss how we can make our cooperation even stronger in 2027.

As always, the objective is to stay ahead of changes rather than react to them afterwards.

And with 2027 around the corner, we are already preparing for the new ADR rules and regulations.

Looking forward to continuing to connect, build relationships and provide good service.

Kind regards,
